Conor P. Degnan joined the firm in 2022 with a focus on criminal defense, estate administration, and business matters. Conor brings his extensive litigation experience to the firm having served as an Assistant District Attorney in the 6th Judicial District (New Hanover & Pender County) and, more recently, as an Associate Attorney at Hedrick Gardner in the civil litigation division.
During his tenure as a prosecutor, Conor represented the State of North Carolina in hundreds of trials ranging from minor infractions to first degree murder. As a former prosecutor, Conor has the tools necessary to ensure that justice is achieved for his clients in criminal court.
While at Hedrick Gardner, Conor represented national insurance carriers and their insureds involved in various civil litigation matters. Conor understands the legal system can be overwhelming for his clients, so he has developed the skills necessary to distill complex legal issues into easily understood language.
Conor attended and graduated with distinction from Penn State University with a B.S. in Crime, Law, and Justice with a legal studies option. Conor also holds his Juris Doctor from Wake Forrest School of Law. Conor lives in Wilmington enjoys spending time with friends and family, college football, weightlifting, cooking, and the beach.
